DGH have an exciting opportunity for a trade qualified Mechanical Fitter to join our Mackay Machine Shop. This permanent role will allow you to deliver quality products and services to our valued clients across multiple industries.
Minimum requirements for this role:
- Trade certificate – Mechanical Fitter.
- Motivated self-starter.
- Excellent fault finding and problem-solving skills.
- Positive can-do attitude.
- Experience overhauling and servicing pumps, gearboxes, crushers, and general wash plant equipment.
- Clear and concise communicator, verbal and written.
- Sound understanding of dimensional tolerance, limits, and fits.
Ideally you would have:
- Sound knowledge of welding and fabrication processes.
- Machining experience or willing to learn.
- Welding experience or willing to learn.
- Forklift license.
- Ability to work nightshift when required.
